Its job is to show what you have practised, what feedback you received and how you responded. Start with work you can explain accurately, rather than filling pages to appear more experienced.

Give each example a clear purpose

Choose a small selection that demonstrates different learning objectives. A drawing might show composition, a synthetic-skin exercise might show consistency, and a written reflection might show how you understood an assignment. Follow the submission requirements of your actual course; these examples do not establish that every course assesses the same work.

For each entry, record the exercise, date, material, your own contribution and the question it helps answer. Distinguish original designs from studies based on someone else’s reference. Do not present another artist’s work or a generated image as your own practical result.

Use a simple four-part entry

Objective: what the exercise was intended to practise.

Evidence: an accurate photograph, drawing or written response.

Feedback: the specific point raised by your trainer.

Next attempt: what you changed and what still needs work.

Keep progress visible

Retain an earlier attempt beside a later one when the comparison is useful. Use comparable photographs and explain changes in materials or setup. A selected improvement with a clear explanation is more informative than a claim that an exercise is now perfect.

Separate assessment evidence from a public gallery. Public examples need appropriate permission and should not expose client records or private feedback. Clearly label practice material, and identify fresh or healed work accurately when you have permission to show it.

Review before sharing

Check image quality, captions and file order. Remove duplicates that do not add useful evidence, but retain your original working records separately. Ask whether someone unfamiliar with the course could understand what you did without assuming a qualification or level of experience you have not demonstrated.

Finish with your next learning objective. A portfolio can document development without claiming that course completion alone meets every requirement for offering a service.

Explore the available Skinart courses and review the curriculum for your chosen subject.

Organise a first learning portfolio with clear practice labels, selected examples, feedback and an honest record of progress.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[30

post-1160","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-skinart-team
["GET
