It is not a laser qualification. Supply that description and the course syllabus when asking what evidence is required; do not describe the course as providing permission to practise.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Include home premises, rented rooms, mobile work or guest locations in the enquiry. It states that exclusively cosmetic laser or IPL treatment does not require CQC registration, while some councils require local registration. This is not a blanket exemption from other requirements.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a skin-penetrating non-laser method, ask the council which registration or licensing category applies. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/find-licences\/skin-piercing-and-tattooing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government tattooing and skin-colouring guidance<\/a> describes council registration and a different Special Treatments Licence system in Greater London, excluding the City of London. Do not turn that London rule into a claim that every UK practitioner needs the same licence.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Confirm the current position for your actual service. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.wales\/licensing-scheme-special-procedures\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Welsh Government\u2019s current guidance<\/a> separates practitioner licensing from premises or vehicle approval. Ask the local authority how your proposed removal method is classified and which requirements apply; the general scheme description alone does not settle every removal procedure.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For work in Scotland or Northern Ireland, contact the authority responsible for the treatment address and describe the method in full. Do not use an English CQC statement or a Welsh licence as evidence that you may operate elsewhere. If another regulator is involved, ask the council to identify the appropriate contact.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep written responses with their date and scope. Ask for links to the current application conditions rather than relying on an informal statement that a course is \u201crecognised\u201d.
