Start with the organisation asking for evidence: an employer, local authority, insurer or prospective studio. Ask for its current requirements and whether it accepts the particular course you are considering.

• Which activity and workplace does the requirement cover?
• Is a named provider or particular syllabus required?
• What completion document must be supplied?
• Are additional workplace instruction or assessment steps needed?

Understand the Workplace Duties

For covered employees with occupational exposure, OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard requires an employer exposure-control plan and employee training. Training is required at initial assignment and at least annually, with additional training when relevant task changes affect exposure.
