Online ear-piercing course: syllabus and access

Understanding the published syllabus helps you decide whether an online ear-piercing course fits your learning aims. Also check the practical exercises and completion conditions. Viewing a demonstration is one stage of learning; it is not by itself evidence of readiness for client work.
The published learning areas
The current Skinart course lists:
- Introduction, getting started and course files.
- Legal requirements, public-health concerns and BBP learning.
- Equipment, earlobe work, needles and BCR jewellery.
- Upper-ear topics including helix, tragus and daith.
- Industrial and tunnel/plug topics.
- Assignments, review and a completion certificate.
Ask how these subjects are grouped and assessed. Do not infer that every topic requires the same equipment, preparation or practical experience.
Clarify the assignment process
The online ear-piercing course describes assignments to reinforce learning. Ask what to submit, which practice materials to use and how the tutor reviews progress. Discuss whether further supervised instruction is appropriate for your experience and planned services.
Keep the lesson, task, photographs requested and feedback together. If an exercise is unclear, ask before proceeding. Avoid treating an attractive reference picture or a completed video checklist as proof of practical competence.
Check equipment and purchase inclusions
Read the current offer for price and inclusions. Equipment is supplied only in South Africa and New Zealand under the published policy, but a kit is not automatically included with every course. Confirm availability and the exact list before ordering.
Ask about existing equipment and items needed for early assignments. Buying a device does not establish which procedures it is suitable for. Keep the manufacturer’s instructions and tutor guidance with your learning records.
Understand access and certificate conditions
The published course describes more than three hours of video. Watching time is different from the time needed for notes, practice and feedback. Ask about the current assessment conditions instead of relying on a fixed completion schedule.
The policy allows time to complete the programme and offers lifetime support. Lesson access locks after completion and certificate issue. Ask how ongoing questions are handled, and verify acceptance separately if a council, employer or insurer requests training evidence.
