Online permanent makeup course: curriculum and access

An online permanent makeup course combines demonstrations, study and practical exercises. Understanding the syllabus is only one part of choosing it: also check the feedback process, equipment and the access provided by your selected purchase option.

The published PMU topics

The current Skinart curriculum covers:

• Introduction, course files and business topics.
• Consultation, customer files, eyebrow design and face shapes.
• Workstation preparation and understanding the skin.
• Nano eyebrows, ombre brows, eyeliner and lip techniques.
• Pigments, colour theory, undertones and correction.
• Medical waste, safety topics and completion requirements.

These are learning areas, not a guarantee that watching each lesson establishes readiness for every procedure. Ask how practical work is reviewed.

Video lessons and directed practice

The online PMU course describes more than six hours of video and practice using silicone skins. Viewing time differs from the time you spend making notes, practising and revising work. Use the exercises and sequence directed by the instructor.

Confirm where to submit assignments and questions. Keep a record of the lesson, practice objective, photographs requested by the tutor and the feedback received. This helps you see progress beyond a list of watched videos.

Full course, staged learning and equipment

Full Course and Pay As You Go are different purchase options. Part 1 does not include every later stage or a full-course certificate. Later parts can be purchased when you are ready; check their current contents and prices.

The equipment kit is optional. The published staged programme describes equipment being needed from Part 4. Ask whether your existing equipment meets the exercise requirements and check the current kit list before ordering.

Support, access and completion

The course terms allow time to complete the programme and describe lifetime support. They also state that access locks once the course is complete and the certificate has been issued. Continuing support and continuing access to lessons are different things.
