Online BBP Course: Lessons, Quiz and Access Explained
Skinart’s online Blood Borne Pathogen course provides recorded learning about transmission, protection and studio risks. This overview follows the curriculum published on the Australian course page, rather than adding unlisted assessments or resources. The Six Curriculum Groups
- Course Introduction: course information, what a bloodborne pathogen is, the chain of infection and assessing danger.
- Transmission and Protection: how pathogens spread and do not spread, personal protective equipment, hand washing and removing gloves.
- Diseases and Risks: hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, other bloodborne diseases and reducing risks.
- Safety Procedures: medical waste, cleanup, sharps, incident exposure and an OSHA exposure-control-plan lesson.
- Regulatory Compliance: record keeping, employee medical records, chemical data sheets and a summary of studio risks.
- Knowledge Assessment: the listed quiz tests your knowledge about BBP.

Use the Lessons to Organise Your Questions
Work through a topic and record any term or explanation you do not understand. Refer to the lesson title when contacting the teaching team so that your question has clear context.
For example, after the record-keeping lessons, you might list which records are discussed and ask how the examples relate to your learning task. Keep the answer with your study notes rather than treating a general example as an approved workplace procedure.
Course study contributes to your understanding. Practical competence and your workplace’s procedures still need attention; completing recordings does not establish that every task can be performed appropriately.
What Is Listed for Assessment
The published curriculum lists a knowledge quiz. It does not, on that basis, establish that there are quizzes after every module, a separate final written assessment or a required portfolio of incident reports.

Course Access and Equipment
The Australian course page states that you can take as long as you need to complete the course. Course access ends once it is complete and the certificate has been issued; support from the Skinart team continues for life.
Video watch time and the time needed to understand the material are different. Set aside time for questions and review rather than relying on a claim that everyone finishes in a few days.
Skinart does not supply equipment in Australia. Check what, if anything, you need for the assigned work before buying supplies. Use the current purchase and policy information for the price, refund terms and access arrangements.
Confirm Australian Requirements Separately
The curriculum includes a lesson titled OSHA Exposure Control Plan. Do not treat that lesson title or the Regulatory Compliance group as evidence that the course fulfils every Australian requirement.
For example, Queensland Health identifies HLTINF005 as the designated infection-control qualification for operators providing higher-risk personal appearance services. Check the exact qualification required for your work rather than assuming that any BBP certificate is interchangeable with it.
If a council, employer or insurer asks for training evidence, send the actual course and completion-document details and obtain their answer. Do not infer acceptance from a course badge or a general statement about industry recognition.
