Online Bloodborne Pathogens Course: Syllabus and Study Plan

Bloodborne pathogens training should connect the learning topics to the work you actually do. Review the syllabus, keep questions beside the relevant lesson and check what evidence your workplace needs. An online certificate is one training record, rather than proof that every studio process is in place.

| Learning group | Named course topics |
|---|---|
| Foundations | Bloodborne pathogens, the chain of infection and assessing danger. |
| Transmission and protection | How pathogens spread, PPE, hand washing and glove removal. |
| Diseases and risks | Hepatitis B and C, HIV, other bloodborne diseases and risk reduction. |
| Safety procedures | Waste, cleanup, sharps and exposure incidents. |
| Records and assessment | Exposure-control planning, records, chemical data sheets and the BBP quiz. |
These groups come from the current online BBP course page. Work through the full explanations rather than treating a topic list as a complete procedure manual.
Turn a lesson into a useful question
Before a session, identify the lesson and the part of your role it relates to. Keep a short note of the question, the answer and any further workplace information needed. This makes the learning easier to apply and revisit.
For example, a sharps lesson can prompt you to check the studio’s disposal arrangements and who is responsible for them. Resolve the actual process with the relevant workplace contact; do not substitute an assumed arrangement for the documented one.
Keep workplace information alongside the course
- The work activities and materials relevant to your role.
- The studio’s procedures and responsible contact.
- Where the current product instructions and data sheets are kept.
- The exposure-reporting and medical-assistance route.
- The training evidence and review requirements requested by the workplace.
Course study and workplace-specific instruction serve different purposes. If working under another country’s rules, confirm its current requirements rather than assuming a South African purchase covers every jurisdiction.
Check the assessment and access arrangements
The published BBP curriculum names a knowledge-assessment quiz. Complete the programme requirements and resolve learning questions before requesting the certificate. Do not describe an unfinished course as completed training.
Skinart states that you can take as long as needed to complete the course. Access locks after completion and certificate issue, while lifetime support from the team continues. Keep your completion record and clarify any evidence your employer or another organisation asks for.
Choose and buy through the sales page
Read the current course price and terms on the South African WooCommerce page, then review the basket and selected payment method. The Academy is where you learn after enrolment; it is not a second course checkout.
Read the BBP course-requirements checklist or contact Skinart South Africa with the specific course or completion question. Avoid sending private medical records or passwords in an ordinary course enquiry.
